Welcome to the Stampin with Friends Blog Hop!
I always lament the number of floral stamp sets I have (and continue to buy). But I really couldn’t help myself with the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest bundle and designer series paper. I think what I love the most about this bundle is the ability to color the beautiful coneflower. The bright colors of the coordinating designer series paper create a smooth transition from summer to fall. Here in NC, we hang on to the summer temperatures well into August and September. The beauty of this bundle reminds me of the subtle transition we make around here.
I love all things envelopes and packaging. Shown here coordinating with the card made from thick basic white cardstock is an envelope I learned to make from the Stampin’ Up! CEO, Sara Douglass. This envelope is a great way to use up any lingering designer series paper sheets. You can get 2 envelopes from one full sheet. Start by cutting a 12×12 sheet of DSP in half. In the landscape direction score at 2″; flip the paper to the other end and score at 4 1/4″. With the DSP in the vertical direction, score each side at 3/4.” On either side of the 2″ flap, cut away the small rectangles. At the opposite end, cut away rectangles up to the 4 1/4″ score line. Miter the remaining flaps. I used tear and tape to secure flaps.
