Peace on Earth

It’s been a little while since I’ve posted a blog entry. Yikes! I have to get back on track. But I hope you follow my Happy Notes Crafts Facebook page where I faithfully demonstrate a project every Tuesday night at 7:00 pm. Tonight’s card features the Peace and Joy bundle

I love this card and the set because they are so versatile. You can make Christmas cards and beyond with just a switch up of colors. Here I used Perfect Peacock, Granny Apple Green, and Night of Navy for a different color combination to celebrate the season–one that I hope brings some peace and pause. Check out the video here

I achieved such uniform stamping and spacing using the Stamparatus of course! This is such a carefree card. I sponged the Granny Apple Green, Perfect Peacock, and Night of Navy on a whim and without much planning as to placement of colors. I purposely wanted some blending of colors.

Merry and Bright

I first saw this card on Martin Stone’s Instagram feed and I immediately knew I had to make this card! This non traditional Christmas color combination from the Brights Collection rings true to the sentiment die cut from the Peace and Joy dies and the Playful Patterns Letters. The letters are a must have for any cardmaking project.

The card base is Smoky Slate. The 1/2 inch strips are Poppy Parade, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana, and Bermuda Bay, metallic cardstock. The same colors were used for the letters. I adhered adhesive sheets to the back of the cards film for the letters and the word bright to make it easier to handle and adhere to the card.
