This has been a season of “let’s give it a try” for me and my crafting. It’s hard to believe that it’s already end of May! During this time as I’ve tried to calibrate to this new normal, I have wanted to try new things I’ve complained I didn’t have time to try. One of these new things is a blog hop. A blog hop is when you get to visit different blogs and see a variety of ideas from different crafters, all linked together from one page to the next. You literally hop from one to the next using hyperlinks. I thought I’d give this a try for the first time ever with a group of talented crafters from across North Carolina.
Welcome to the NC Demos Blog Hop! We are so glad you are here! You might have already stopped by Sue Root’s post and know this month’s theme, but if you are just popping in, this month’s them is last chance products from Stampin’ Up! Each year Stampin’ Up! makes way for new and exciting products by retiring items we’ve enjoyed from the annual catalog and seasonal mini catalogs throughout the year. We’re preparing for the new annual catalog that goes live on June 3!
Here’s my project for the hop! I used Flourishing Phrases stamp set and colored with watercolor pencils from Collection 1. The flowers were stamped off once with So Saffron and shaded with Calypso Coral watercolor pencil. The leaves were stamped with Pear Pizzazz and shaded with Old Olive watercolor pencil. I stamped the sentiment, also from Flourishing Phrases, in Pear Pizzazz. I used the Pretty Label punch that is also retiring. A good substitute is the current Tailored Tag Punch, or Story Label Punch. The Flourishing Phrases set and Pretty Label punch are both on the Last Chance List. Please note that some items on the Last Chance List are discounted and all items on the list are while supplies last. So place an order quick if you see something on the blog hop that catches your eye!
Thank you for stopping by! Next up on your journey is a wonderful project by Nedine Dupree at Craft Lounge Creations. Hop on over!
